Private sector event to mark the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement
Although challenges remain in achieving the goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C, the Networks France, Spain and Brazil of the UN Global Compact aim to highlight the efforts undertaken by the private sector over the past decade to showcase the type of accelerated actions and collaborations that will help us stay aligned with the goals of the Paris Agreement. Particular attention will also be given to COP30, set to take place in Belém (Brazil). COP30 represents a crucial opportunity to strengthen commitments, promote innovative solutions and international policy frameworks that allow their wide deployment, and enhance climate justice in a decisive decade for the planet’s future. In line with this historic moment, the Networks France, Spain and Brazil of the UN Global Compact wish to organize a common event to reinforce the role of businesses in achieving climate goals, foster collaboration between companies and policymakers, and showcase concrete corporate actions that contribute to the Paris Agreement objectives
